My hiking camera and tripod
Vital Accessories for your Camera Bag
Most of these tips apply strictly to digital cameras (because that's what I use). If you use traditional film camera, be aware that some of these situations too, but you may want to ax some of these accessories, and instead of focusing to bring more film. Even other types may be useful such as sepia or black and white.
The first consideration is a tripod. Now, often the backpack and walk when I'm on vacation, and there are options for full-size or nearly full-size tripods are made with intelligent methods for folding and very low birth weight. Without But the weight tends to be transferred to the price tag, so it can be cost prohibitive to buy one if you do not use it often.
That said, if they are not now is a great idea to have a tripod with you. It's much easier to take clean shots with a stable base level with only their hands. Even one of the "mini" articulated tripods can be a lifesaver. These are also great for hiking, as they are small and lightweight and can be adjusted to suit the terrain.
Another great addition to your bag is a micro fiber cloth. In addition to cleaning lenses, you can also clean the lens caps before putting them back, remove any accumulation of digital screen, fingerprints and clean your memory cards in case you accidentally touch the copper contacts. A multi-tasking tool which takes up almost no weight or Space: A no-brainer.
Speaking of memory cards, bring them. Your camera probably came with a card memory card of 8 or 16 megabytes. Bring it, you never know when you may be able to use just one more picture. The price of memory right now is so cheap, if you are a 8-gigabyte card, why not add another 2 GB, or even the purchase of two 8 Concert. cards? The biggest advantage of a digital camera is "unlimited pictures" to take three of everything and decided later that save.
Another benefit of having multiple memory cards is that they can divide. On the trip I mentioned earlier also visited London and Berlin. Having multiple cards can allow you to take pictures of a place on a card and then put it in your luggage for later. This also helps to avoid loss total if something terrible happens and the camera is lost or stolen.
Since we covered storage, let's talk about the need for other major digital camera: power. It's a great idea for at least spare battery with you (or changing batteries if your camera does not have its own package). In the departure spread, also may be worthwhile to carry a battery charger. This way you can ensure you never miss a shot that could lead to an impressive picture.
If follow some of these accessories in the camera bag, which is almost guaranteed to get the best pictures I can.
